Absolutely! We highly encourage students to have a trial lesson before committing to regular lessons. This allows you to experience firsthand the teaching style and approach of our suggested teacher and ensures a good match. If you feel like you need more than one trial lesson to find your preferred teacher, you’re more than welcome to do so. Our priority is to make sure you feel comfortable and confident with your choice of tutor so you can get the most out of your music lessons.
All music lessons take place at the students’ homes. Our teachers are visiting tutors who cover most areas in North London and North West London, so they will come to you for the lessons
Yes, it’s essential that you have your own instrument at home before the first lesson. However, you don’t have to rush into purchasing one right away. You can consider renting, which can start from as little as £20 a month, depending on the instrument you choose. This gives you the opportunity to try it out without a long-term commitment. If you decide to buy later, we can provide guidance on which model suits your needs and where to purchase it from.
The most common method of payment for our music lessons is via bank transfer, made in advance of the lesson. If you have any specific payment preferences, feel free to discuss them with us, and we’ll do our best to accommodate your needs.
Yes. If something unexpected comes up and you need to reschedule your lesson, please inform us at least 24 hours before your scheduled lesson time, and we’ll be happy to accommodate your request. However, please note our 24-hour cancellation policy: if you fail to notify us within this timeframe, you’ll still be responsible for the lesson fee. We believe in fair treatment of our teachers, so we kindly ask for your cooperation in adhering to this policy.
Yes, we do prepare music students for ABRSM and Trinity College graded exams across all levels and instruments. Our instructors are experienced in guiding students through the exam preparation process, ensuring thorough understanding of the requirements needed for success.
If you decide to discontinue your music lessons, we kindly ask for one month’s notice to terminate tuition. This advance notice allows us to make necessary adjustments and ensures a smooth transition for your music teacher. We understand that circumstances can change, so we appreciate your cooperation in providing sufficient time for us to accommodate your decision. If you have any questions or need further assistance with stopping your lessons, please don’t hesitate to reach out to us.
