About the teacher

Recognized for her “sense of poetry” and “refined touch” (The Straits Times), Tiffany is a versatile pianist celebrated for her performances and teaching. Born in Singapore, she began playing piano at age 4 and made her debut at the Singapore Esplanade at age 8. She has performed across Britain in venues like St Martin-in-the-Fields, Southwark Cathedral, and St Mary’s Perivale, and internationally.

 

Tiffany’s accolades include 1st Prize at the 7th Asia Arts Festival (2019), Singapore’s National Piano & Violin Competition Finalist (2020), and the Marion Smith Memorial Trophy.

 

She earned a First Class Honours in Piano Performance from the Royal Northern College of Music, where she studied with Colin Stone, and trained under Hilary Coates and Rena Phua. She has participated in masterclasses with renowned pianists such as Stephen Hough and Jean-Efflam Bavouzet.

 

As a chamber musician, Tiffany co-founded the Buxton Trio and premiered Simon Parkin’s Goldberg Jazz Variations. Her work with the RNCM Wind Orchestra was recorded for the European Gramophone label in 2022.

 

Now based in London, Tiffany teaches at The Purcell School and privately, mentoring young talents while continuing her performance career.
