About the teacher
Christina is a well-established piano and lever harp teacher with over 20 years of experience, teaching students of all ages from beginner to diploma level. She enjoys incorporating music games and aural training exercises into her lessons, creating an interactive and engaging learning experience. She also encourages students to participate in public performances, student concerts and competitions regularly.
She holds LTCL and ATCL in Piano Recital as well as AMusTCL from Trinity College London, a Certificate of Teaching (CT ABRSM) from the Associated Board of the Royal Schools of Music, and a Master of Education in Music from the Royal College of Music. She has conducted music education research to enhance her students’ learning progress.
Christina has won various music competitions, including the Hong Kong (Asia) Piano Open Competition, Hong Kong Youth Piano Open Competition, and the Hong Kong Schools Music Festival. In 2020, she was 1st runner-up in the Harp Open Class at the International Fringe Association Competition and won the Silver Prize and First Place in the St. Petersburg International Piano Competition Preliminary round. She was also invited as a Teacher-Advisor at the Hong Kong International Music Festival 2022 in London, offering valuable guidance to performers. Additionally, she has performed with her harp in community settings through the Claremont Project in London.
Beyond instrumental teaching, Christina is an active piano accompanist for performances and exams, supporting students across various instruments, including violin, viola, cello, flute, clarinet, oboe, recorder and trumpet.
