About the teacher
Nicholas is a versatile professional with expertise in music education and performance. Born in England and having lived in California and New Zealand, Nicholas holds a Masters in Musical Theatre from the Royal Academy of Music and a BMus/LLB in Jazz Performance (Trumpet) from the University of Auckland.
As a teacher, Nicholas has worked as an itinerant music teacher at prestigious schools like Diocesan School for Girls, St Mary’s College, and Rosehill College, where he taught instrumental music and inspired students through structured lessons.
His leadership skills are evident from his role as President of SOMSA (School of Music Students’ Association) at Auckland University, where he also served as Vice President and Secretary. Additionally, Nicholas contributed to Crimson Education as Head of Tutor Recruitment and worked as an Event Manager at Lewis Eady Showroom, coordinating music events.
Beyond teaching, Nicholas combines exceptional public speaking and organizational skills gained through extensive musical and academic achievements, including earning A*AA in CIE A-Levels, scholarships in NZQA, and excelling as an Academic Scholar at Westlake Boys High School. Now based in London, Nicholas is focused on sharing his passion for music and education through innovative teaching and dynamic performances.
